About the speakers

Mike Lewis

Ex-banker and over 20 years involvement in charity-based funding options. Mike Lewis has spent 25 years working for Barclays Bank mainly in Gloucestershire on lending & since then over 20 years in the Responsible Finance industry working for mainly CDFI’s in Gloucestershire. Mike has a passion for helping Individuals who cannot get any financial support from anyone else for funding their start up or expanding business. Since 2017 Mike has worked for Purple Shoots from his Cheltenham base initially on their self reliant groups & since covid as lending manager. He enjoys walking & wildlife. Is a park runner & plays bridge for Gloucestershire County.

Stuart Rostron

Ex-banker and over 22 years of self-employment experience. Stuart has more than 20 years’ experience of running his own business as well as 12 years in the Financial Services industry. Stuart's passions include providing the support and advice to Individuals looking to get the right funding in place to be able to make their own business a success. Focused in the Charity funding sector, Stuart provides advice and support to People who are unable to obtain funding through traditional routes such as high street Banks.
