Event description

The Department for International Trade (DIT) helps businesses export and grow into global markets. DIT constantly review their services in light of customer feedback and the impact they offer, which means they will vary from time to time. This workshop will give an introduction to the support available via the DIT to both experienced and novice exporters. Particular attention will be given to the service provided by the International Trade Adviser, Digital Trade Adviser and the global DIT network along with information about the available funding schemes, the Export Academy and the UK Export Finance.

This will be a group workshop in the morning followed by a free session where one-to-one private consultations can be booked in with Stefano or Nigel to answer your individual queries

Stefano works as an International Trade Adviser at the Department for International Trade. He has been working as a Sales & Marketing professional for over 20 years. His background includes multiple disciplines in international markets – with experience of several senior managerial roles in large, medium and family run businesses. As a Chartered Marketer, he acts as a valued partner to any SME planning to increase sales, establish a brand and expand its reach internationally.

Nigel Barker , Department for International Trade (DIT)

As the website count starts to approach the 2bn mark, it has never been more important to have a robust global digital strategy. Nigel Barker is a Digital Trade Advise with 30 years experience working with web technologies. He will help you understand that all is not equal in the online world, and how you can maximise the global opportunities open to you.
