Cyber Security - Keeping your data safe on, and offline. There are many threats in the world, and ignorance is the largest! There are simple and highly available measures that an organization can take to keep it’s data safe in a variety of scenarios. Solutions that are not complex, and in many cases just need turning on. We will explore these practical scenarios, the various measures you can take, and gain a greater understanding of why they are useful. It’s worth bringing a laptop, as some measures can be applied during the session.

Objectives of the Session:
• Get an overview of what Cyber Security is
• Understand what the common security measures you can easily put in place, are
• Understand in what scenarios you should be using security measures
• Understand why you should put the measures in place.

About the speaker

Andrew Elder

Andrew Elder has a background in hardware and software technology development, and is a serial entrepreneur. Andrew is also a volunteer business mentor in his spare time, for an Oxfordshire based NFP. At Bongo IT his role is Marketing Director, this mixed with Andrew’s technical background this allows him to deliver workshops [on security] which are practical and easily understandable.
