Business Members Group

Overview

As a collective representation of the professional services in the county, our Business Members Group was established to collaboratively review and feedback on the Growth and Enterprise Team’s (GET) pipeline project proposals for consideration of future funding opportunities.

Purpose

1. To provide a platform for representatives from the county’s business membership groups to engage with each other and with Board representatives.
2. To provide a conduit between the Economic Growth Board and membership groups to identify mutual needs and solutions to enhance economic growth.

Terms of Reference

• Work collaboratively with the Growth Hub Network to support their offering and to show SMEs the added value of connecting with local membership organisations.
• Drive sustainable economic growth to create more jobs and business opportunities for the county.
• Increase the numbers of businesses engaged with the GET sector groups and extend their reach to the wider business community.
• Facilitate collaboration and networking opportunities within the business communities to support ideas for growth.
• Support and help to deliver interventions within the Recovery Plan.
• To offer collaborative, business-rich feedback to the Growth Hub strategic development
• To offer an accurate representation of digital and softer skills within the county and illustrate their application into all business environments.
• Contribute to achieving the aims and objectives of Growth and Enterprise Team, with the themes of Investment, Connection, Promotion and Skills.
